Italian electronic musician and vocalist Vittoria Maccabruni produces dark, hypnotic soundscapes, occasionally threaded with her ethereal vocals. Her debut release, a collaboration with German guitarist Michael Rother (Neu!, Harmonia) titled As Long as the Light, appeared in 2022.

Vittoria Maccabruni met Michael Rother in 2005, when he was on tour in Italy with his longtime collaborator Dieter Moebius. However, they didn't begin collaborating until 2020, when Maccabruni shared her works-in-progress with Rother. Rother drove from his Bevern-Forst farm to Pisa and began recording music with Maccabruni, layering pulsating beats and ambient synths with sheets of buzzing guitars and atmospheric vocals.
