Biography
A Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter, guitarist, and cartoonist, Tommy Siegel makes anthemic, artful indie rock when he's not crafting quirky, humorous cartoons. A founding member of Jukebox the Ghost, with which he has played since the 2000s, Siegel made his solo debut with 2020's Another Century Wasted.

Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Siegel spent much of his adolescence drawing and playing in rock bands. After high school, he attended George Washington University. There, in 2004, he formed the indie pop outfit Jukebox the Ghost. Over the next decade, he toured and recorded with the band, releasing albums like 2008's Let Live and Let Ghosts, 2014's Jukebox the Ghosts, and 2018's Off to the Races. Along the way, he launched the noise rock band Drunken Sufis and in 2014 founded the power pop-influenced Narc Twain. He also gained a reputation as a gifted cartoonist, even taking drawing requests from fans while on tour. In 2014, he compiled many of his cartoons in the book Van Doodles, Volume 1. In 2020, Siegel released his debut solo album, Another Century Wasted, which found him embracing his love of lyrical, Beatlesque pop. While recording the album, he also set a personal challenge to draw a cartoon every day for 500 days, several of which went viral. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
