Biography
With their hybrid Jamaican roots of rocksteady, reggae, and ska that began in 1997, the Boston seven-piece of Pressure Cooker stand out amongst their surrounding scene of third wave ska-punk. Accompanied by the additional roots of jazz, Calypso, and Latin, the lineup of Dan Hawkins (upright bass), Adam Dobkowski (guitar), Michael O'Connor (saxophone), Zack Brines (keyboards), Kreg Fujita (vocals), Jeffrey Eckman (drums), and Geoff Shamu (trumpet) eventually released their self-titled debut full-length through Orchard Records in 2000. Their second album, I Wanna Tell You, came out the following year. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
