Indie folk singer/songwriter Alexandra Sauser-Monnig writes introspective, laid-back songs that are tinged with sadness and hope in equal measure.

Formerly of folk trio Mountain Man, Sauser-Monnig stepped back from music for almost a decade after the group went on hiatus. Eventually, the need to write music returned, prompting Sauser-Monnig to write a solo record. She began working on her debut album in 2017, though she stalled on completing it due to Mountain Man re-forming the following year.
