L.A.'s Glitch Mob have wowed audiences on dancefloors around the world with a largely midtempo brand of cinematic, bass-heavy electronic music. A highly successful touring act, the band's music has also received major exposure through its usage in advertisements and movie trailers. Making their full-length debut with 2010's Drink the Sea, the Glitch Mob reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 (and topped the Dance/Electronic Albums chart) with 2014's Love Death Immortality. Third album See Without Eyes appeared in 2018, and the remix/mashup retrospective Revisions was released in 2021.

The Glitch Mob first came together in 2006. After discovering that they were loosely affiliated with each other after performing at similar venues every night, the bandmembers began their musical partnership by DJ'ing back to back as a "tag team." Consisting of four members (edIT, Boreta, Kraddy, and Ooah) armed with laptops and MIDI controllers, the Mob were associated with the new wave of Los Angeles' IDM/hip-hop beat scene of the late 2000s, along with the likes of Daedelus, Flying Lotus, and Samiyam, among others. Creating their own futuristic dance style with their noisy bass-driven electro, their material recalled the more raucous elements of works by electronic pioneers Aphex Twin and Autechre, as well as the heavier European breakbeat sound. Gaining considerable attention for their DJ sets in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as being music veterans of the much fabled West Coast underground electro scene, the collective began their foray into remixing in 2008 with the likes of Evil Nine and TV on the Radio benefiting from their sonic expertise. After citing "creative differences," founding member Kraddy left the group in 2009.

The band carried on as a trio and released its debut album, Drink the Sea, on its own Glass Air Records in 2010. Two volumes of remixes and the EP We Can Make the World Stop appeared in 2011. The group made an unofficial remix of the White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" which was featured in film and video game trailers; a decade later, Third Man issued it as a 7" single. In 2014, Love Death Immortality arrived with Metal Mother, Nico Vega's Aja Volkman, and Sister Crayon's Terra Lopez as guest vocalists. A major success, the album reached number 13 on the Billboard 200. Their 2014 tour in support of the record featured a unique prop dubbed "the Blade." Built by movie set designers, it incorporated both musical and visual elements into one unit that allowed for completely synchronized performances, fully operated by all members in unison. They released a three-track EP titled Piece of the Indestructible in 2015 and followed up with the occasional remix for acts such as Illenium and ODESZA.

In 2018, the Glitch Mob delivered their third effort, See Without Eyes, which featured guest performances from the likes of Tula, Elohim, and Rituals of Mine. They also teamed up with Mako and the Word Alive to record the song "Rise" for the game League of Legends. Single collaborations with LICK, ZEKE BEATS, and 1788-L appeared in 2019, and the EP Chemicals was issued in 2020. The Glitch Mob celebrated the ten-year anniversary of their debut album with a deluxe edition and an ambient version of Drink the Sea in 2020.
