Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko delivers brash lyrics about sex, drugs, and city life with a swaggering flow that slips between a carefree drawl and sharper, more dramatic cadences. She gained an online buzz through her early singles and active social media presence, and released her debut album, Trap Kitty, in 2022.

Born in Añasco, Young Miko taught herself to play acoustic guitar while studying at the University of Puerto Rico. She began making music that took influence from rap as well as reggaeton and rock. She first appeared with the 2021 trap single "105 Freestyle," produced by Caleb Calloway and Mauro. This was followed by additional tracks like "Vendetta" (with Villano Antillano) and "Puerto Rican Mami." Miko frequently posted videos of her creative process and everyday occurrences on her social media accounts.
