Rezzett
Biography
Mysterious London-based duo Rezzett make abstract techno and jungle with supremely blown-out bass and blankets of tape hiss. Their self-titled debut EP was released by Will Bankhead's label The Trilogy Tapes in 2013, joining the ranks of outsider house producers like Willie Burns, Anthony Naples, and Vereker, but managing to sound darker, twisted, and more lo-fi, almost resembling early James Ferraro making club tracks. Several more Rezzett 12"s appeared on The Trilogy Tapes, including the jungle-influenced tracks "Zootie" and "Doyce," as well as a remix of Omar Souleyman's "Heli Yuweli." Rezzett also co-produced a track on Zomby's 2016 Hyperdub full-length Ultra, and self-issued a 7" (Rupez) the same year. The debut full-length Rezzett LP was released by The Trilogy Tapes in 2018. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
