Both non-native Californians, Mufson originally moved to L.A. from Philadelphia to pursue a career in film scoring, and Lamoureux moved from Wichita, Kansas for the music scene. She first met Mufson after catching a show of his in Hollywood. Finding common interests, they quickly teamed up in the studio, and released the Scavenger Hunt EP in 2014. Songs like "Lost" and "Dreamers" were subsequently licensed for multiple screen appearances and ad campaigns, and the EP landed on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart. The 2015 stand-alone single "Wildfire" appeared on TV shows such as Nashville and Quantico, and in mid-2016, "Dreamers" was featured in the hit comedy Bad Moms. Scavenger Hunt released their second EP, Shapes and Outlines, that November. In the meantime, the group went on tour, opening for acts such as Capital Cities, Dragonette, and Panama Wedding. They returned in mid-2017 with the Memories EP. It was followed later that year by the shimmering non-EP single "Ghosts." ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
