Keyvan Mohajer
Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer
Keyvan leads the company's management, corporate strategy and operations. He is also the principal executive responsible for SoundHound’s technology development. With more than 12 years of executive experience as a visionary entrepreneur and a result oriented general manager Keyvan has played a key role in creating multiple startups from basic concept to profitability. Keyvan has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
James Hom
Founder & Vice President, Products & Chief Financial Officer
James is responsible for managing all of SoundHound’s product development efforts and for overseeing all finance and accounting operations. He has extensive knowledge of product design, development and testing, with a particular focus on database design and clustering, human computer interaction, accounting and finance. He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University.
Kamran Elahian
Global Catalyst Partners
Kamran Elahian has co-founded more than ten high-tech companies and two nonprofit organizations, in addition to co-founding Global Catalyst Partners. He serves as chairman of the board for Centillium Communications, Planetweb, Actelis Networks, the Global Catalyst Foundation and Relief International-Schools Online, and serves on the boards of Beceem Communications, Ikoa, SoundHound, and Yoomba. Kamran is also a recipient of The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award for recognition of his exceptional contributions to the development, innovation, growth and long-term opportunities of the fabless semiconductor industry.

Jay Eum
Translink Capital
Jay is responsible for investments in mobile and digital media at TransLink, and supports portfolio companies with their customers and partners. Prior to TransLink, Eum was responsible for starting up the U.S. operations for Samsung Venture Investment Corp., the venture investment arm of Samsung, and leading their U.S.-based investments and portfolio management. Under Jay’s leadership, Samsung Ventures America grew to a team of five investment professionals and invested over $80M in 27 U.S.-based startup companies.

Larry Marcus

Larry's focus is consumer services and digital media. He serves on the Board of Directors of Pandora (internet radio), SoundHound (Sound Search Technology and Applications), Telekenex (IP Voice and Data Services), Comedy.com (purveyor of funny), and Real Girls Media (women's community site - Observer). Non Portfolio: Board of Advisors to Dealmaker Media (early stage focused events) and JazzSchool in Berkeley CA. Prior to joining Walden, Larry was a leading equity research analyst at Alex. Brown / Deutsche Bank and prior to that Robertson Stephens & company, both in San Francisco. Larry was among the first equity analysts to cover PC and video games, followed by internet media and enhanced TV (e.g. Scientific Atlanta, General Instrument, Gemstar, Wink). Through a hands on, product oriented approach, he developed a successful methodology and track record of backing companies at early stages of adoption that would eventually achieve mass market success, including Pandora, Netflix, CBS Marketwatch, Maxis, Women.com, Terayon, Edmark, Activision and Spectrum HoloByte. Prior operating experience includes product and marketing consulting for both Digidesign and Maxis, media planning at a major New York ad agency and general management in computer services retail. Mr. Marcus received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. When not searching for new investment ideas or helping portfolio companies, Larry is an avid drummer and green tech enthusiast.

Richard Geruson

Prior to its acquisition by Nuance, Rich served as CEO of VoiceSignal, the world leader in voice-enabled mobile search and other mobile voice solutions. Within four years of his arrival at VoiceSignal, Geruson increased shareholder value more than tenfold, which resulted in the business selling for a multiple of more than 12 times its revenue. Before joining VoiceSignal, Geruson also held senior executive and management positions at Nokia, IBM, Toshiba and McKinsey & Company.
