Melodis Partners with Samsung to Embed Industry-Leading Music Search Capabilities into Its Newest High-Performance, Multimedia Phones

The Midomi Music Search and ID Application from Melodis Enables SAMSUNG Smartphone Users to Search and Identify Music by Capturing Snippets of Songs From a Speaker, as well as Singing or Humming into Their Mobile Handsets

SAN JOSE, California – July 7, 2009 – Pioneering sound search technology and applications innovator MELODIS Corporation and SAMSUNG Electronics Co Ltd, the world's second largest mobile phone manufacturer, announced that they have partnered to embed Melodis Corporation's Midomi music search and ID application into SAMSUNG's newest high-performance, multimedia phones on the Windows Mobile platform. Midomi's unique multi-faceted music search and ID features enable users to identify music by holding the phone to a speaker as well as singing or humming in snippets just a few seconds long. In addition, Midomi integrates with wireless carriers' music stores so users can immediately and easily purchase the music they discover.
