Biography
A New Mexico-born country singer, Chevel Shepherd came to the public's attention as the winner of the 15th season of The Voice in 2018. After the show's finale, she released her debut single "Broken Hearts."

Born in 2002 in La Plata, New Mexico, Shepherd grew up listening to country music, and was introduced to singing by her mother at age two. By the time she was ten, she had already been performing locally for several years and recorded her own covers album. In 2018, she successfully auditioned for The Voice with her rendition of the Band Perry's "If I Die Young." Choosing to join judge Kelly Clarkson's team, Shepherd proved to be a fan favorite, and on December 18, 2018 was crowned the winner of the competition. Following her win, she released her coronation single, "Broken Hearts." Also that year, she showcased her time on The Voice with The Season 15 Collection, featuring her renditions of songs originally done by Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Tanya Tucker, and others. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
