Biography
The rock lineage of Down 'n' Outz guided the group's classic rock sound with the release of their Mott the Hoople-referencing, 2010 debut My ReGeneration before pushing out on their own with 2019's This Is How We Roll.

Originally formed by Def Leppard's Joe Elliot, Raw Glory's Ronnie Garrity, the Quireboys' Paul Guerin, Guy Griffin, and Keith Weir, as well as hard rock drummer Phil Martini, to support Mott the Hoople on the final night of their 2009 tour, Down 'n' Outz played a set of Mott-related tracks for the audience. Based on that live set, the band decided to enter the studio to record tracks that they'd played live, with the resulting album, My ReGeneration, appearing a year later. After a handful of live shows, the group returned in 2014 with their sophomore album, The Further Adventures Of…, which once again saw frontman Elliott paying tribute to Mott's Ian Hunter, by covering a selection of tracks originally written by him. A live tour followed in support of the release, which was also captured for prosperity and released in 2017 as The Further Live Adventures Of… By the end of 2018, the group was recording their third album, this time writing their own material. Inspired by the music they grew up with -- classic '70s rock -- the album This Is How We Roll was issued at the end of 2019. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
