Biography
South African rapper Costa Titch shot to fame with his reworking of the Mandoza hit "Nkalakatha" in 2019 before releasing a string of trap-infused albums including 2020's Made in Africa and 2022's Mr Big Flexa.

Born and raised in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, Costa Titch grew up with a love of dance and started to perform at age 12. Eventually becoming a professional dancer, his career found him traveling in Europe and Africa, and he earned major sponsorship deals. A natural progression into music happened in 2017 with the release of the single "Activate" with Phantom Steeze and Alfa Kat Laygo, but it wouldn't be until 2019 that Titch made his biggest impression. Reworking Mandoza's "Nkalakatha," the tongue-in-cheek track hit the big time, with Titch becoming a well-known name. The following year he issued his debut album, Made in Africa, which saw him pairing trap-infused beats with raps in English and indigenous South African languages. Titch continued with a slew of singles before teaming up with AKA for the 2021 album You're Welcome, which brought a mixture of Afro-pop, trap, and hip-hop. 2022 saw Titch drop the collaborative EP Trapiano, Vol. 1 with Champuru Makhenzo before rounding out the year with his second solo album, Mr Big Flexa. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
