Biography
Guitarist Ari Picker was a member of the B-Sides from Chapel Hill, NC, along with his childhood friend Noah Smith, Travis Horton, Eric Kuhn, and Ken Mosher. The group released an EP, Two Beautiful Beachers, and an album, Yes, Indeed, the B-Sides, Quite! (2001), on which Picker co-wrote all but one of the tracks, before Horton and Kuhn left. Picker and Smith then added Jonny Tunnell and his brother Joah Tunnell, and changed the group's name to the Never, releasing a self-titled album on May 18, 2004, followed by Antarctica: A Storybook Record, on July 11, 2006. Meanwhile, Picker attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, and his studies led to a solo EP performed with a nine-piece orchestra. For the venture, he adopted the group name Lost in the Trees, and the disc, titled Time Taunts Me, appeared on March 20, 2007. A second album followed in 2008. ~ William Ruhlmann, Rovi
