Biography
Canadian guitarist and singer Stan Endersby was in his teens when he started performing professionally as part of rock bands like the Spellbinders and Just Us. As a member of Just Us in the middle of the '60s, he stepped into a recording studio for the first time and came out with the debut single, I Can't Grow Peaches on a Cherry Tree, released under the Barry Records label. Over the next three decades, Endersby did some solo work, spent time as a top session player for other artists, and moved between a number of countries and various bands, including Buckwheat Noodle, Heaven and Earth, Diamond Back, Tripp, and many others.

Endersby was born and raised in Canada and picked up his first guitar at an early age, joining his first band while still in high school. By 1966 he was living in Toronto and having some success with his newest group, Just Us. In 1969 Endersby left his homeland to move to Europe where he teamed up with bassist Pete Quaife, drummer Mick Cook, and keyboardist Marty Fisher to form a band called Mapleoak. In 1970 the group began touring, and released a self-titled debut album a year later. By the time the full-length offering hit the market, Mapleoak had fallen apart. Endersby simply picked up and moved back home to Canada.

In the '80s Endersby headed to the United States where he formed the Springfield Band in L.A. After a few years that group met its end as well, and he headed home once more. There he went on to work with other groups, and became an often-requested session guitarist. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
