Price was born Larry Jacks, Jr. in 1990. In 2006 he and Oktane formed rap group Audio Push, and by 2009 they were signed to Interscope. Over the next decade, Price (at times going by the stage name Pricetag) kept busy making music with Audio Push as well as serving as a producer and ghostwriter for some of the music industry's biggest names. He worked with everyone from Travis Scott to Jill Scott in behind-the-scenes roles before striking out on his own in 2020 with several singles and his solo debut CLRD. The EP-length release was marked by socially conscious lyrics and sophisticated instrumentals, and featured guest spots from Kota the Friend and Candice Boyd. The next year, Price returned with F.O.E.S., a longer project that included contributions from Wyclef Jean, Vince Staples, and others. He continued issuing new songs in 2022, as well as The Price EP, a seven-track release that featured Big K.R.I.T. and Wale on some songs. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
