Biography
Mostly known as El Polaco, Argentinean singer Roberto Goyeneche became the archetype of 1950s Buenos Aires' bohemian life, a living myth in the local music scene. It was in 1944, at the age of 18, when the talented troubadour joined Raúl Kaplún's orchestra after winning a local contest, soon, debuting live in a local radio station called Belgrano. In 1952, Roberto Goyeneche teamed up with Horacio Salgán and with Horacio Troilo in 1956, becoming the first one recording Astor Piazzolla's classic Balada Para Un Loco, after starting his solo career in 1963. During the 1980s, Roberto Goyeneche participated as special guest in the movies #El Exilio de Gardel and #Sur. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
