An extension or pseudo-continuation of This Heat, Camberwell Now was a collaboration between former Gong and This Heat member Charles Hayward (drums, vocals), Stephen Rickard (field recordings, studio recordings, tape manipulation), and Trefor Goronwy (bass, vocals, ukulele). Together, they continued in the vein of This Heat's restless experimentation with studio trickery and the use of electronics. While together, the trio released two EPs and one full-length. They debuted in 1983 on the Duplicate label with the Meridians EP; after signing with Switzerland's Recommended Records imprint, they released The Ghost Trade LP in 1986 and the Greenfingers EP in 1987. All's Well, a CD compilation of their previously released material, was issued in 1992, several years after the group's dissolution.
