Biography
Blonde, diminutive West Virginia native Janet Brace arrived in New York in 1948 and initially sang with the bands of Vincent Lopez and Johnny Long. She subsequently became well known as a jazz vocalist in appearances at venues such as the Village Vanguard and the Blue Angel, working in a jazz idiom. She subsequently married drummer Don MacLean, who played with the Don Elliott Quartet. She recorded one jazz album, Special Delivery, for ABC-Paramount in 1956. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
