Biography
American rapper Kossisko, who recorded under the name 100s, had released a handful of mixtapes under his previous name before reinventing himself in 2015 as Kossisko.

Born and raised in Berkley, California, a teenage Kossisko's was sent to the Ivory Coast by his mother to attend boarding school; he eventually returned to the U.S. in 2010. Inspired by Snoop Dogg and the G-Funk sound that had come out of the West Coast scene in the '90s, Kossisko started to write and record his own material under the name 100s. 2012 saw him drop his debut mixtape, Ice Cold Perm, before issuing his follow-up, Ivry, two years later. By 2015, Kossisko had dropped the 100s guise, reverting to his given name and releasing his debut mixtape, Red White N Cruel. A string of singles followed before he dropped his second tape, 2019's LOW. Over the years Kossisko's sound had also changed, bringing in more contemporary hip-hop styles, while retaining the funk that dominated the West Coast sound. A handful of singles appeared in 2020 -- notably "World of Trouble" and "Good Thing" -- before he stepped into 2021 with the release "Love Don't Live in the City." ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
