Biography
Rapper and singer Demarco Castle, aka Gemstones, previously recorded and performed under the name Gemini. The Chicago native was featured prominently on two songs -- "Just Might Be OK" and "He Say She Say" -- on Lupe Fiasco's 2006 album Food Liquor. After he changed his name to Gemstones, he contributed to a handful of cuts on Fiasco's 2007 follow-up, The Cool. An album of his own was planned for release through Fiasco's 1st 15th label, but he ultimately scrapped it and opted to release strictly Christian music. Though Gemstones had released a handful of mixtapes from 2006 through 2012, it wasn't until 2015 that he issued his first proper album, Blind Elephant. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
