Biography
After the demise of his previous doo wop aggregation, the Meadowlarks, Don Julian assembled a new trio, called them the Larks, and cashed in on the Money label in 1965 with a floating soul dance number, The Jerk. It was a huge RB and pop hit, but numerous spinoffs, including Soul Jerk, Jerk Once More, and Keep Jerkin', went nowhere. ~ Bill Dahl, Rovi
