Charlemagne
Biography
In 2003, Indiana native and Madison, WI, resident Carl Johns took a break from NoahJohn, an alt-country collective that had garnered more praise in England than in the U.S., to record an album and play gigs under the name Charlemagne. Though Johns recorded the self-titled Charlemagne debut as a solo project, releasing it on Winterlander Records in April 2004, Charlemagne became a six-piece on-stage when it toured Europe in May 2004. ~ Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen, Rovi
