Biography
The Dead Daisies are an Aussie-American hard rock supergroup consisting of members from Guns N' Roses, Thin Lizzy, INXS, and the Cult, among others. Since issuing their 2013 eponymous debut, the band have been a near-constant presence on the mainstream rock charts with lauded efforts like Make Some Noise (2016), Burn It Down (2018), and Radiance (2022) leading the charge.

The Dead Daisies have included some of the biggest veterans in hard rock: Guns N' Roses rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus, bass player Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy), keyboard player Dizzy Reed (Guns N' Roses), singer Jon Stevens (INXS), bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (Trapeze), drummers John Tempesta (the Cult) and Deen Castronovo (Journey), and guitarist Dave Lowy. Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones, Whitesnake drummer Brian Tichy, and Nine Inch Nails drummer Alex Carapetis have also played with the band. Their 2013 EP Man Overboard was accompanied by two singles, including "Lock 'N' Load," which established a further link to Guns N' Roses with its guest appearance by guitarist Slash. Later that year, the group's debut self-titled album was released. They returned in 2015 with their sophomore record, Revolucion, quickly followed in 2016 by their third full-length, Make Some Noise. The Dead Daisies were joined by additional members during the making of their second and third records, including John Corabi (Mötley Crüe), Jackie Barnes (Jimmy Barnes), and Bernard Fowler (the Rolling Stones).

Following 2017's Live and Louder, which documented their European tour from the previous fall, the Daisies hit the studio, emerging in April 2018 with their fourth studio outing, Burn It Down. From there, the band shifted away from their hard rock roots, releasing a series of acoustic covers of artists from Neil Young to the Who. The group's first covers album, Locked and Loaded, arrived in August 2019. The band had every intention of releasing their fifth album, Holy Ground, in 2020, but it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the Daisies to reschedule everything for 2021; they released an EP, The Lockdown Sessions, to bridge the gap. Holy Ground saw the band joined by bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple), whose soulful voice and commanding presence helped the album crack the Top Ten on multiple international charts. Drummer Deen Castronovo left the fold ahead of the release of the group's sixth long-player, 2022's Radiance. The hard-rocking set included the single "Shine On" and marked the return of Brian Tichy behind the kit. ~ Liam Martin, Rovi
