Showing an affection for The Pixies and local Chapel Hill, NC heroes Superchunk, Metal Flake Mother hit the college rock scene in the early 1990's with indie rock daydreams and moody instrumentals. Making their debut on Moist Records in 1991, MFM released "Beyond The Java Sea" before calling it quits not too long afterwards.
