The leader of Sexteto Mayor, Italian-born and Argentina-based bandoneon player Jose Libertella has been at the forefront of Argentina's tango scene for nearly three decades. The co-writer of such classic tunes as Sabor A Buenos Aires and Organito Arrabacero, Libertella attracted international attention during the four years (1983 -- 1987) that he and Sexto Mayor spent performing in the stage production, +Tango Argentino.
