Engine 54
Biography
Though a product of the fertile Olympia, Washington indie rock community, Engine 54 instead drew their influence from classic ska, honing an energetic old-school sound which found considerable favor among fans of the genre. Consisting of guitarists Scott Freeman and Perry Salzhauer, bassist Colin Davis, trumpeters Jeff Davis and Harry O. Wilken, saxophonist Tom Mazzuca, trombonist Emilie Peine, organist Lance Asher, drummer Kelly VanCamp and percussionist Jason Brown, the group debuted in 1996 with the LP 54/95, returning two years later with Run for the Money. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
