Philadelphia-born singer Cody Wise found fame after being featured on will.i.am's hit "Birthday" and was signed to the rapper's Interscope Records imprint. Spotted at the age of 13 by will.i.am after a performance of the Jackson 5's "Who's Loving You" at a local concert, the fresh-faced singer was taken under the Black Eyed Peas frontman's wing, where he developed his musical skills.
