Toronto rapper Tim North delivers an agile flow over stoned, laid-back beats. Building momentum through the relentless release of streaming tracks, he issued his debut EP in 2022. Born in Montréal, North began his career in Toronto, uploading his music online. Originally going under the name of Fundament, and also known as Young Timothy, he quickly attracted a succession of producers eager to supply him with beats. His first published track was 2013's "Don't Stop," which introduced his signature sound of agile, singsong, somewhat aggressive flow over narcotic, minimalist backdrops. He first started to attract major internet attention two years later with "100 Proof," and really broke out in 2017 with the banger "Fuck Luck." With 2018's "Countin'," he switched to the Midnight Roll label, and in 2021 came to wider attention when he was featured on Italian EDM duo Merk Kremont's single UU, released by major-label Island. That year he also moved labels again, to Boom Records, with the streaming hit "My Way." In 2022 he released his first EP, Early Wishes.
