The Shelley Winters Project is basically an outfit for singer/songwriter and solo artist Rick Berlin to play with others. The group came together in the mid-'90s, when members Jonah Sacks (cello), Tyson Leonard (violin), and Marnie Given (violin) met Berlin at his weekly solo gig at "the Oldest Transvestite Bar in the World," in his hometown of Boston. Members continued to rotate over the years, as the Shelley Winters Project issued a pair of albums -- 1999's Cathedral and 2001's self-titled release. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi
