Biography
Actor and singer Brian Stokes Mitchell has performed in many television and Broadway productions, including +Man of la Mancha and +Kiss Me Kate, for which he received a Tony award. A native of Seattle, Mitchell spent his formative years in San Diego performing with various theater groups. A move to Los Angeles in the late '70s brought him into contact with the entertainment industry, and numerous appearances in film and television followed, including a seven-year role on the medical drama #Trapper John, MD. Although he has been featured in cast recordings, he released his self-titled debut solo album on RCA in 2006. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
