Biography
A Louisiana fiddler with family ties to French Canada, Delma Lachney recorded several sides for Vocalion during the late '20s. He was occasionally accompanied on record and billing by Alcide Blind Uncle Gaspard on guitar, though he never appeared on Gaspard's sides (even those recorded at the same sessions). Little else is known about him, even after his song "La Danseuse" was compiled on the popular Anthology of American Folk Music collection, and a total of ten songs appear on the Yazoo compilation Early American Cajun Music. ~ John Bush, Rovi
