Upon striking a deal with Ruthless Records, Three Deep's musical hopes were shattered by the devastating death of fellow West Coast rapper Eazy-E. This misfortune led Slow Pain and A.L.T. to venture off into solo projects. Slow Pain signed with Thump Records in the mid-'90s and recorded The Baby OG, which included the popular cut "Money Maid." New projects surfaced into the new millennium: Slow Pain was working with hardcore rapper Too $hort and shaping a new group with Kid Frost, Mellow Man Ace, A.L.T., and O.G.enius (the Blvd. Knights). His sophomore effort, The Hit List, was released in March 2000. Lil' Don Juan and Presents Old Town Gangsters were both issued the following year. Raider 4 Life appeared in 2003, followed by L.A. Blues in 2004 and In the Hood in 2005. ~ Stacia Proefrock, Rovi
