Revelers
Biography
Rockers the Revelers formed in Cleveland in 1988; originally comprising singers/guitarists Andrej Cuturic and Joel Kaufman as well as bassist Ricky Crom, a year later the line-up solidified with the inclusion of drummer Tommy Fox, formerly of local cult heroes the Mice. After debuting in 1990 with the single "Set Myself Up," the Revelers largely went silent for the early part of the decade, recording an album which remains unreleased; with producer Kramer at the helm, they released a second single, "Walking Thinking," on Shimmy Disc in 1994, soon followed by Crom's departure from the line-up. With new bassist Matt Charboneau, the Revelers issued the full-length On Top in 1995, trailed a year later by Better Get Hit in Your Soul. Charboneau was replaced by bassist George Frank in late 1996, making his recorded debut with the group on Hard Times, Sunday Spirits; Day In, Day Out followed in 1999. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
