Biography
Brazilian Supla (born Eduardo Smith de Vasconcellos Suplicy), son of Eduardo and Marta Suplicy, began playing drums at the age of 11, joining his first band, called Os Impossiveis, three years later. The opportunity to start touring locally came with his second outfit, Metropolis. Supla left his drumsticks to start singing for Zig Zag, a band mainly focused on British hardcore punk. After changing its name to Tokyo, their debut album was released by CBS. Titled Humanos, that first full-length record delivered interesting contributions from Cauby Peixoto and Nina Hagen.

In 1995, Supla moved to New York, joining a band called Psycho 69, previously known as Mad Parade, and issued an album that was promoted while touring along with the Ramones throughout the U.S. East Coast. After meeting Brooklyn rapper Kojack, Supla began experimenting with hardcore rap. Bossa Furiosa and O Charada Brasileiro became top-selling albums in Brazil soon after. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
