Biography
A multi-talented Canadian singer, producer, guitarist, and author, New Brunswick native Myles Goodwyn was a founding member and lead vocalist, guitarist, and main songwriter for the multi-platinum-selling rock group April Wine. His solo career commenced in the late '80s and has continued into the new millennium alongside his work with the band.

Goodwyn spent his formative years honing his skills in cover bands, but he began writing songs very early in his career -- one of April Wine's most notable hits, "You Won't Dance with Me," was written when he was still in his teens. He led the group through their peak years -- 1970 to the early '80s -- before embarking on a solo career. He released an eponymous solo LP in 1988, and returned to lead April Wine in 1992, which he continued to do well into the 21st century. In 2018, he issued a sophomore solo effort, Myles Goodwyn and Friends of the Blues, which featured guest spots from a host of genre heavyweights, including Jack de Keyzer, Garrett Mason, David Wilcox, Amos Garrett, Kenny Blues Boss Wayne, Shaun Verreault, Bill Stevenson, and Rick Derringer.

In addition to his musical output, Goodwyn has published a pair of books: a memoir, Just Between You and Me, in 2016 and a work of fiction, Elvis and Tiger, two years later. 2019 brought a follow-up to his previous album in Friends of the Blues 2. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
