Biography
Together with Mexican vocalists Don Jose de Jesus Navarro Moreno and Don Alfredo Bajalil Gil, Hernando Aviles, born of Puerto Rican heritage in Mexico, formed the popular Mexican bolero group, Trio Los Panchos, in the early 1940s. Attaining international attention with their performance at the Hispanic Theater of New York in May 1944, Aviles and Trio Los Panchos became popular radio artists in Mexico and toured Japan and Europe. Although he left the group in 1951, Aviles continued to perform in the group's bolero style. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
