Biography
Rael da Rima is the alias of Israel Feliciano, a Brazilian rapper and singer from São Paulo. As a teenager in the early 2000s he become involved with the rap crew Can KND. A couple of years later he joined Pentagono and went on to achieve widespread recognition on the Brazilian hip-hop scene. Rael stayed with the group for four albums, eventually leaving in 2012 to concentrate on his solo career, kickstarted back in 2010 with MP3 - Música Popular do 3°Mundo. Shortening his moniker to Rael, he followed with Ainda Bem Que Eu Segui As Batidas Do Meu Coraçao (2013) and a high-profile collaboration with Emicida. Rael returned in 2016 with Coisas do Meu Imaginário, his most accomplished set to date. The album featured an impressive guest list, including some of the most prominent names in Brazilian urban music, among them Chico César, MC Rashid, Emicida, and Rappin' Hood. ~ Mariano Prunes, Rovi
