Biography
Baby Boy is a Latin urban-pop singer of Puerto Rican heritage based in Orlando, FL, who broke through to mainstream success with Ya No Llores (Let Me Love You) in 2008. Born Roberto Borrero in New Jersey, he began his recording career as the leader of the group Afixiao. Billed to Baby Boy Afixiao, the group's Raising the Standards album was released by Universal Latino in 2005 and spawned a minor hit with the bachata single Tus Quince Años. Baby Boy wrote all of the songs on Raising the Standards. In 2008 Baby Boy made his solo debut with Ya No Llores (Let Me Love You), the lead single from his album of the same name. A romantic pop song driven by urban beats, Ya No Llores (Let Me Love You) was a smash hit, breaking into the Top Ten of Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
