Biography
Before making his name as an actor, Jeremy Jordan's first forayed into the entertainment world via a brief music career in the early '90s. Signed to Irving Azoff's short-lived Giant Records, the blond, green-eyed, Indiana-bred Jordan was a natural for teen heartthrob stardom. And things seemed to go down just as planned at first; the lite-pop/R&B of debut single The Right Kind of Love benefited from a bit of timely cross-marketing, as it was included on the soundtrack to the then hugely popular #Beverly Hills 90210 TV series, and further aided by its music video's inclusion during the end credits for much of the show's third season. The song became a Top 15 pop hit by the spring of 1993. However, its follow-up, Wannagirl failed to meet the same success, and his one and only album, Try My Love, hovered around the lower reaches of the chart for a few weeks before disappearing without a trace, effectively curtailing his musical ambitions almost right off the bat. ~ Ricardo Rainho, Rovi
