Biography
John Duffy is a full-time news journalist and part-time music critic from Baltimore, MD. He is a regular contributor to Music Monthly, an independent paper covering local and regional music in the Mid-Atlantic region, and Blues Rag, monthly journal of the Baltimore Blues Society.

He is also the crime and courts reporter for the Gazette Newspapers in Frederick, MD, and plays guitar. He currently harbors the fantasy of assembling the ultimate country-soul band.

A 1996 graduate of Salisbury State University, Duffy contributed music and arts features to the college's newspaper, hosted regular programs for the student radio station, and interviewed major acts who performed at the college, including Arlo Guthrie and classical guitarist Manuel Barrueco. His first major interview was with the late Rick Danko just prior to The Band's 1993 comeback. ~ John Duffy, Rovi
