As I stand, up to the wall
in fear to define history
what lies right in front of me
can't feel as good as it used to be

and the dead, any american is found
to feel at times blue
what can you do
when you're sedated
and put through
the failure
of some man's world

stand by to believe

whatever you want it to be

desperate minds
desperate times
to see the alter smashed over
by this beast
hours spent
an infinite feast
with the screen to devise
your fantasy

and when I walk, oh how I walk
to stand and be tall on this burial ground
the faint sound
the echo of what they first found
must stand on somewhere

in the land of the free
whatever you want it to be

so I didn't learn a thing
in school about being
one with star
chances are
we're more far
in the curse that divides
the sun from you

my family
my country and my school
have all left me dry
to wonder why
we were just born to buy then die
and change nothing

in this time
you must be strong
find your song

now
