then dragged through dreams

become two ghosts of sunday film
like sister and brother
kissing myself, holding myself

from an empire long, long ago
beacons of passion in the empire of doom
fell like a nuke into my black pupil

to those i can't relate to
and if i ever did with you
could i escape the unfullfilled doom
having a laugh behind my back

as the empire falls apart?
through the stained glass i see fire
