it's only natural that i wait and as the sun comes up
another blue day goes by
i run a bath and wash off for the hundredth time
in the noisy night
saturday mornin on the floor you listen to a show
dancing in pain for the blind
watching the glory blossom before it reaches demise
like your cartoon way
i had a dream about you last night
you were in a painting in the rain
and when lightning hit the shore
you turned around to find bowls of blood all smashed upon the floor
i had that dream again last night everybody let me down
i hung naked like a clown
everyone dying laughing and in the distance
storms blowin up and cryin out for more
in our dreamin days
it's only natural that i wake and as the moon comes out

with my cartoon days
i had a dream about you last night you were walkin on the shore
the world licking at your feet
you turned around to say how you'd give anything to wake up again
you had that dream again and again
you were in love with your best friend
we crashed into the sand, laughin like we're crying
rain falling down so all is washed away again
in our cartoon days
