I took a night out from my home

I'm just here to sip some Crown
So what if it bogs me down?
So they're out of the Crown - I'll make it double Jack
Need me something to quell my aching back
I turn around inside my seat
I scan the room, I feel the beat
I was trying to shut out the world like a fool
Eyes like emeralds glue me to my stool
She had dark, brown hair woven by sages
Her dress as shiny as the biggest stage is
Suddenly, I can't turn back
Man, you should have seen the way she wore that black
Looking back, I guess I smiled
She came and sat down with me for a while
Suddenly, she grabbed my hand
To start to pull me closer to her favorite band
We banged our heads; we blew our voices
If only I had made more stupid choices
Suddenly, the past just stings
Man, if I were braver, I'd have asked her things
How do you make my knees so weak?
How do you make me want to speak?
How can you make me stare at you
over everyone else that's in this room?
Is there something I could do
That would let me leave this place with you?
Do you know I'm amazed with how you move
And that you make me useless - I approve
Of your dark lipstick and wild nature
I wished to God that I'd up and date her
Suddenly, I want you bad
I couldn't just be happy with the one I had
She's got my heart in her makeup casket
I put my eggs in a burning basket
If I knew then what I know now
I'd find a way to tell her how I felt somehow
I need someone at least half that crazy
There ain't a single chance in hell she'd take me
But maybe I'll see her again
The living, breathing Goddess made of porcelain
I let her slip, and I regret it
What are the chances that I can forget it?
Finally, the worst of shames:
Both of us were far too gone to ask for names
