Biography
Son of legendary reggae singer Barrington Levy, Krishane was immersed in music even before he was born. Raised in Manchester, Jamaica, he accompanied his father on tour and watched his mother conduct meetings with music business executives. His own talent for singing was discovered while he was at school; he joined the school choir, performing at talent shows across the breadth of Jamaica, and while still in his early teens performed in boy band the Teardrops.

Determined to carve his own path, Krishane moved to London in 2011 at the tender age of 17, teaming up with hot producer Bless Beats. In 2013 he made his first recorded appearance, as a featured vocalist on the track "Riot" by Mastiksoul. That year he joined production company 1 2 One, which took his career to the next level; they were instrumental in getting him a deal with Atlantic, which he signed early in 2014. Boyish good looks, a fine, high, soulful voice, and a knack for choreography all saw him compared by many to Michael Jackson and Usher, both admitted influences. Krishane was tipped for greatness from the start, and a host of talented producers lined up to work with him on tracks for his debut album. His first single, the infectious "Drunk and Incapable," featuring fellow Atlantic signee Melissa Steel, fused R&B, digital reggae, and pure pop; it was released in October 2014, peaking at number 27 on the U.K. singles chart. ~ John D.
