Biography
A member of the San Francisco-based soul/RB band, the Dynatones, in the mid-1980s, Larry Dunn has remained one of the Bay Area's busiest musicians. Together with his band, the Rhythm Sheiks, he's continued to perform regularly in the San Francisco area, and has toured Europe twice. His debut solo album, Hound of Music, released in 1996, has been followed by the equally soulful Migration of the Groove and Got It Workin'.

Born to a music-loving family, in Casper, Wyoming, Dunn joined his first band soon after acquiring a guitar at the age of 14. Moving to Denver following his high school graduation, he was exposed to the music of blues musicians, including B.B. King and Buddy Guy, and rock and rollers including Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton.

Relocating to San Francisco, in the late 1970s, Dunn became one of the leading session guitarists in the city, playing with Bo Diddley, Eddie Money, Steve Cropper, Big Joe Turner, and Mary Wells. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
