In 2006, the Bermans created and co-produced Rhythms del Mundo: Cuba, a non-profit benefit for album which turned the covers concept on its head. This album wed an all-star cast of Cuban musicians, including Ibrahim Ferrer and Omara Portuondo of the Buena Vista Social Club, performing the music of Coldplay, Sting, Jack Johnson, Maroon 5, Kaiser Chiefs, and more with both original and added instrumentation and voices. The album reached number one on digital Latin album charts in 20 countries simultaneously as a benefit for Artists Project Earth. In 2008, they produced a German-language version, Rhythms del Mundo: Cubano Aleman, featuring artists Xavier Naidoo, Udo Lindenberg, Silbermond, Adel Tawil, and Jan Delay.
In July of 2014, they issued Studio Rio Presents: The Brazil Connection. The album, mixed by the multi-Grammy-winning engineer Jerry Boys, utilized original multi-track masters and state-of-the-art separation technology to extract classic vocal and instrumental performances by artists such Bill Withers, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Dave Brubeck, Mel Tormé, Sly the Family Stone, and more. The Bermans then melded them with new studio backing tracks from an all-star cast of Brazilian musicians including Roberto Menescal and Marcos Valle. The Isley Brothers selection, "It's Your Thing," was included on One Love, One Rhythm: The 2014 FIFA World Cup Official Album. ~ Thom Jurek, Rovi
