We’re excited to announce a partnership with Edamam that will allow developers using the Houndify Voice AI platform to access nutrition analysis and diet recommendations for over 5 million recipes and 750,000+ food items, including most foods you can order from fast-food chains, large grocery stores, and local restaurants. This will enable more ways to provide nutritional information to more people, and helps consumers to easily make smarter choices about food anytime and anywhere, hands-free, via simple voice queries.
The Edamam database will become part of Houndify’s growing library of hundreds of content domains—enabling quick and accurate responses to queries on a variety of topics without requiring the use of specific phrasing or hard-coded commands.
Edamam and Houndify
Through the partnership, Houndify users will now have access to Edamam’s unique food database, including information for over 40 lifestyle, health, and allergen-free diets, including keto, vegan, gluten-free, and low carb. Users will also be able to ask follow-up questions, ensuring that the conversation is seamless and natural.
The partnership with Edamam provides users hands-free access to information that will help them eat better and live healthier, happier, and longer lives. Getting the information they need is easier with Houndify’s advanced voice AI technology, which allows users to express themselves naturally, with queries like:
● “How many calories in a Big Mac?”
● “Show me a keto-friendly recipe for chicken.”

Other types of queries supported include:
● “Which fast food restaurants have vegetarian options?”
● “What foods can I eat to boost my immunity?”
