Houndify Offers Voice-Activated Parking Search and Reservations Via Partnership With Parkopedia

We’re partnering with Parkopedia, the world’s leading parking services provider to enable users to search and book parking hands-free, via simple voice queries. The addition of the Parkopedia data set to Houndify’s extensive library of public and custom domains will give developers using our independent voice AI platform access to the largest and most accurate global parking services data available. 

As part of the voice experience, end users will be able to find the closest on-and off-street (garage) parking to their destination, including the cost and availability of parking spots across 15,000 cities, in 89 countries, covering over 70 million parking spaces. 

As a result of the partnership, Parkopedia will be included as a new content domain category within the Houndify platform and will be made available as an independent third-party voice-enabled service for global enterprise partners across automotive, mapping, navigation, fleet management, retail, hospitality, and telecom sectors. The partnership also marks the first time that Parkopedia’s data will be made available to independent developers building voice assistant experiences on their own.

Houndify’s extensive domain library

Parkopedia joins hundreds of content domains already available via the Houndify Voice AI platform. Connected via a dynamic knowledge graph, Houndify’s library of content domains enables developers to quickly and easily enable their voice assistants to deliver accurate results for any query, including weather, navigation, local search, stocks, music, general knowledge, and now real-time parking information. 

The Houndify and Parkopedia collaboration creates a robust ecosystem for automotive partners that want to include voice-enabled parking services as part of their connected car user experience. Drivers will soon be able to drive directly to an open spot as opposed to circling the block searching for an opening, simply by asking.
